ERIN Mendiola made stunning defensive moves for Sakudi in the two-game championship series of the Belau Softball Association Womenâ€™s League last Sunday at the Dandan Softball Field, to earn the most valuable player award.
The 2015 batting champion, Liz Lebriaâ€™s regular season stats remained unmatched earning her the regular season MVP title. The Sakudiâ€™s top batter had 21 base hits at 32 at-bats during the regular season.
GMS Babesâ€™ Eddilyn Benjamin won the strikeout championship award. She maintained a clean strikeout record in the regular season. She also did great in the first of the two championship games last Sunday, striking out three and foiling base hits attempts by capturing line drives.
Mendiola went 3-for-4 with one walk during the first championship game that went in favor of the GSM Babes. In the second game, she drove in a run with a single and scored five runs to help Sakudi rout the Babes.
Lebria also got the most runs award.
Rachel Salalila had the most RBIs; Chagi Norfsâ€™ Julie Omar won the most triple award; GSM Babesâ€™ Kuki Pangelinan, the most double award and GSM Babesâ€™ Pauline Camacho, the most home run award.
Sakudisâ€™ Pina Magofna had the best ERA and GSM Babesâ€™ Martin Naputi was the 2015 best manager.
Ysei-Ysei got the sportsmanship award and the GSM Babes aside from having the best uniform, are the 2015 runner up champions.
BSA President Brian Adelbai thanked all the sponsors, players, managers and coaches for another successful softball season. He also thanked the Dandan Elementary School for accommodating them at the ball field.
