WITH Jerry Ayuyu leading this seasonâ€™s batting stats, the Brotherhood won the pennant championship of the 2015 Belau Softball Association Menâ€™s Masters League at the Dandan Softball Field.
Of the eight teams vying for this yearâ€™s title only Brotherhood listed two losses, with 13 victories to top the standings. The rest of the squads had five or more losses.
There will be some make-up games on Sept. 27 then this yearâ€™s softball season will move on to playoff matches on Oct. 4.
The other teams that clinched playoff slots were the S.A. Masters and IP&E, both with 10-5 win-loss standings.
During last weekâ€™s games, the SA Masters and IP&E secured their playoff slots over Ngarrard and City Boys respectively.
Both Rep. Ralph N. Yumul and Reno Celis went 4-for-4 and scored the most runs to lead Brotherhood against Ngarrard, 14-4. Yumul hit a two RBI single in the decisive fifth inning while Celis had three RBI singles in the entire game.
Jude Dickerson launched a run-scoring home run to lead Brotherhoodâ€™s winning stances in the first inning.
